About SwapMyClass
SwapMyClass helps university students coordinate class section swaps. You post the course-section you Have and the course-section you Need. After you submit, the system checks automatically for a two-person swap or a multi-person chain among active requests at your school and term. A match is not guaranteed.
Have, Need, and matching
A Have or Need is one concrete course-section — not a generic course, and not a public listing other students browse. Matching runs after you submit, using active requests at the same university and academic term. Direct swaps involve two people; chain swaps involve three or more in a cycle so each person can move into a section they Need.
When a match is found, we can notify you by email or Telegram if you enabled those alerts. You then coordinate any official add/drop steps with your registrar.
What we are not
SwapMyClass is not your registrar. We are an independent coordination tool. We do not reserve seats, drop or add courses for you, guarantee enrollment, or complete official registration. Your school's add/drop rules, deadlines, and approvals still apply.
Cost
No subscription or payment is required to post or match.
Privacy in short
Email and linked Telegram are not published on public pages. They are shown to other students only in a valid match with you, and to peers connected through an Opportunity (someone wants your section, has what you Need, or is one section away from a match while you are searching). Anonymous in-app feedback stores message text and a timestamp — not your account. See Privacy for details.
Is your school supported?
Check the Supported schools list before signing up. A school appears when SwapMyClass has an active term configured for it. Listing does not guarantee other students are posting or that you will match.
