About SwapMyClass
SwapMyClass is a platform for university students who need to change class sections—for example moving from one lab or lecture time to another for the same course. You post the section you are enrolled in and the section you want. When another student (or a ring of students) can trade in a way that satisfies everyone, we surface that match, including multi-person chain swaps that are hard to find in a group chat.
What we do
- Match students who want each other's sections—directly or through a chain where each person gives up one seat and receives another.
- Run matching when your swap requests are active, so you see possibilities as soon as the underlying data allows.
- Let you coordinate with matched peers using the contact information you choose to share in the product, subject to your settings and our policies.
What we are not
SwapMyClass is not your university's registrar or academic office. We do not guarantee enrollment, seats, or compliance with add/drop deadlines. You remain responsible for following your school's rules, obtaining approvals if required, and completing any official registration steps. The product is a coordination and matching tool for students.
Privacy in short
We take student trust seriously. You can use in-app features such as fully anonymous feedback—we store the message and timestamp, not who sent it. For accounts and swaps, we process the data needed to run the service (see the FAQ for a plain-language overview and your app settings for specifics). Nothing on this page is legal advice; formal policies may be added on dedicated pages as they ship.
Who it is for
Students at participating schools who already have or will have eligible registrations and only need a different section of the same or compatible courses—especially when manual searching or small group chats miss valid chain swaps.
